A real alpine night in a Swiss Alpine Club hut at 1,727m. Join 12 fellow explorers and a TravelTribe coordinator for two days of crisp mountain air and zero notifications.

Saturday is the climb: a cable car up from Riemenstalden, then a 3-hour ascent through alpine pastures and karst plateau to the Lidernenhütte SAC. Tea on the terrace, 4-course warden's dinner, mattress dorms, no WiFi.

Sunday is the descent: a shorter ridge walk down through the Riemenstalden valley, with an optional swim at Lauerzersee on the way home.

This is a classic alpine hut approach, suitable for fit adults without prior mountaineering experience. The hike involves a T2 difficulty rating, with approximately 3 hours of ascent and around 400 meters of climb. You'll be part of a small, intimate group of 12 participants, ensuring a personal and friendly atmosphere. A TravelTribe coordinator will be with you throughout the two days, guiding the way and ensuring a smooth experience. Expect simple, authentic mountain living and a chance to truly disconnect — no WiFi at the hut, just a long table and a warden who rings the dinner bell at 18:30.

Meeting Point: Brunnen station, Saturday at 10:00 (PostBus to Riemenstalden ~10:30).
What to Bring: Sturdy hiking boots, daypack, layers, sleeping bag liner (mandatory in all SAC huts), headlamp, 1.5 to 2L water, and cash for hut drinks. A detailed kit list is sent 2 weeks before departure.
