1Day 1Welcome to Jordan!Overnight: Amman
Check-in and first souk
Round trip flights are not included in the package, so you can choose from where and when you want to fly. This is to give you maximum freedom of choice!
Check-in at our hotel in Amman, then it's time to kick off this trip!
First wander in the souk: we explore the local souk, where there's always something for everyone.
2Day 2Wadi Mujib and the Dead SeaOvernight: Madaba
Upstream on the Wadi Mujib River
Who's ready for some adventure? After a short journey we reach one of Jordan's most scenic areas.
Hiking the Wadi Mujib: the Wadi Mujib River runs through a nature reserve with a majestic canyon, and we trek against the current, clambering over the rocks (so let's be prepared to get wet!).
A dip in the waterfall: the grand finale is a dip in the impressive waterfall.
There are several routes of varying difficulty, so the group can decide together what works best.
Floating in the Dead Sea
Time to tick one off the bucket list!
Floating in the Dead Sea: the Dead Sea water is ten times saltier than the ocean, making it much more dense, so sinking won't be an option.
Fancy a mud bath? A rejuvenating natural mud bath, on the other hand, could be!
3Day 3Kerak Castle and Little PetraOvernight: Petra
A crusader stronghold
Early start today: we travel several miles towards Petra, with chances to stretch our legs at one of the many castles that dominate the picturesque scenery.
Exploring Kerak Castle: Kerak Castle is the second largest castle in the region and the most important crusader castle in the Middle East after the Syrian one. Ready to explore its fascinating history?
Little Petra
A taste of tomorrow, on a smaller scale.
In the Siq al-Barid canyon: a few miles from Petra, the Siq al-Barid canyon has architecture similar to Petra's but smaller in size, hence the name Little Petra, with sculptures of ancient divinities carved from the stone.
Souvenir hunting: the stalls selling handicrafts made by the locals are perfect for finding a souvenir.
Typical dinner: tonight we taste some delicious local delicacies, a chance to immerse ourselves in local culinary history and traditions.
4Day 4One full day exploring PetraOvernight: Petra
Splendid Petra
And here we are in Petra, a sight that will leave us breathless!
Through the gorge to the Treasury: a beautiful narrow gorge leads us to the famous Treasury, a carved stone structure built to house the tomb of Areta III.
Street of Facades and Jebel Madbah: on the Street of Facades more than 40 tombs carved into the rocks can be admired, then we go up to the top of the Jebel Madbah and down to temples, tombs, a palace and a Byzantine Church, famous for its floor mosaics.
Theatre and Roman city: the ancient Theatre has a capacity of around 3,000. In the old Roman part of the city we'll be able to admire the Great Temple, dedicated to the Nabatean divinities, the Qasr al-Bint ruins, the palace of Pharaoh's daughter and the medieval castle ruins.
On the way to the Monastery: along the path to the Monastery we see the biggest monument of the entire site, the Winged Lion Temple.
Selfie time, we're in one of the seven wonders of the modern world!
5Day 5A night in the Wadi Rum desertOvernight: Wadi Rum
In the middle of the desert
More adventure awaits: Wadi Rum, here we come! It's an amazing desert surrounded by red-coloured rocks and impressive mountains.
By 4x4 into the desert: from the visitor center we head off in a four-wheel drive vehicle to explore the desert of Lawrence of Arabia.
At the Um Fruth Bridge: the extraordinary Um Fruth Bridge, a suspended rock bridge in the middle of the desert, is one of the most photographed spots in the whole of Jordan.
Bedouin dinner and a night in a tent: after a typical Bedouin dinner, we stargaze while sleeping in a Bedouin tent in Wadi Rum. Will we spot any shooting stars?
6Day 6Relaxing by the Red SeaOvernight: Aqaba
A seaside day in Aqaba
Last stop before heading back to Amman: the seaside city of Aqaba, for a day of pure relaxation.
Snorkeling in the Red Sea: the Red Sea, with its crystal clear water, is ideal for snorkeling, as we can spot corals, colourful fish and giant turtles.
Sunset drink: we finish the day with a drink at sunset. Cheers!
7Day 7Amman, old and newOvernight: Amman
The Old City
We leave early in the morning to reach Amman, ready to discover the hidden corners of this fascinating city!
Among the Roman ruins: Old Amman was built on 7 hills like Rome and still boasts Roman ruins, like the columns of the Temple of Hercules.
Bird's-eye view of the city: from a panoramic viewpoint we look down on the Roman Theatre, the main square with its fountain and the Odeon, an amphitheatre where live music is performed every night.
The other side of Amman
Time for the modern face of the city: Jabal Amman is a modern district just a few minutes away from the centre.
Stop at King Abdullah Mosque: on the way we stop at the King Abdullah Mosque, the only mosque in the city that is open to visitors.
Shopping in Amman: it's a must, and we can find everything from international designer clothes to locally produced items like precious stones and metals.
