Itinerary

  1. 1Day 1Vieux Nice, Promenade des Anglais and Castle HillOvernight: Nice

    • Sunset over the Baie des Anges

      Welcome to the Côte d'Azur! We drop our bags at the central hotel, meet the group over a first briefing, and we are off.

      • We plunge into Vieux Nice, its narrow Italianate alleyways packed with buzzing cafes, artisan spice shops and Baroque architecture.
      • Down the Promenade des Anglais, Mediterranean breeze included, then up Castle Hill, the Colline du Château, for sunset over the old port and the Baie des Anges.
      • An aerial view of a crowded beach beside a sparkling blue sea, a coastal road, and a city skyline under a clear sky.
  2. 2Day 2Monaco, Monte Carlo and medieval EzeOvernight: Nice

    • Guard change at the Prince's Palace

      Ready for a change of scale? A scenic regional train hugs the coast from Nice toward the glamorous principality of Monaco.

      • We climb the Rock of Monaco for the Changing of the Guard at the Prince's Palace, just before midday.
      • Then Monte Carlo: mega-yachts, ultra-luxury boutiques and the façade of the Monte Carlo Casino.
      • The afternoon is for Eze, medieval, stone-paved and clifftop, before a group dinner by the port in Nice.
      • Luxury cars are parked in a plaza in front of an ornate, classical-style building under a clear blue sky.
  3. 3Day 3Cannes, La Croisette and Cours Saleya

    • Red carpet and socca tasting

      Last morning, and we trade the coast for the big screen: a short train ride to Cannes, city of international cinema.

      • We walk the legendary red carpet at the Palais des Festivals, in movie-star footsteps, then free time on the sandy La Croisette beaches.
      • The day can swap to perfume visits in Grasse, or winter skiing in Auron.
      • Back in Nice: the Cours Saleya flower and food market, fresh chickpea socca, a final group moment, then airport or station.
      • A narrow stone staircase ascends through an alleyway lined with colorful yellow and orange buildings and potted plants.
