  1. 1Day 1Welcome to AustraliaOvernight: Brisbane
    • Brisbane: we're on the other side of the world!

The package does not include flights to/from the destination, allowing you to have complete flexibility in choosing your preferred airline, departure location, and time.

Check into your hotel in Brisbane, one of Australia's most iconic cities, and we gather for the welcome meeting. What better place to start getting to know each other?

Meeting point: click here to see how it works!

      • A modern city skyline with illuminated skyscrapers reflected in a wide river at sunset, with a pedestrian bridge in the foreground.
  2. 2Day 2Brisbane: Koalas, Skylines, and a City BreakOvernight: Brisbane
    • Brisbane: First Dips & City Vibes

A free day to shake off the jetlag... well, almost: Brisbane is a city that needs to be experienced, and we'll do it properly. A few ideas:

      • A dip at South Bank: we can start at South Bank, a man-made beach in the heart of the city (yes, it really exists!), where a dip comes with skyline views, followed by a riverside stroll.

      • Fancy the river view? Hop aboard the CityCat ferry and cruise along the river, spotting some seriously enviable dream homes along the banks.

      • Koalas at Lone Pine? For those keen to discover more, there's Lone Pine Sanctuary, the world's very first koala sanctuary, where we get up close with these famously sleepy creatures (20 hours a day: total life goals).

      • Evening in Fortitude Valley: neon lights, live music and rooftop bars show us Brisbane at its most vibrant.

      Tomorrow... the open road awaits!

      • A modern city skyline with illuminated skyscrapers is reflected in the water below at dusk.
  3. 3Day 3On the road to NoosaOvernight: Noosa
    • Surf, Sunsets & Slow Living in Noosa

We wave goodbye to Brisbane and head north: about two hours of eucalyptus trees, surfers in flip-flops and our road-trip playlist. Noosa is the coastal resort, where people catch waves at dawn, grab brunch before most of us are even awake, and the dress code is swimsuits, sunnies and zero stress.

      • Trails in Noosa National Park: our first stop is Noosa National Park, with rugged cliffs, forest trails and hidden coves. Keep your eyes peeled: you might spot a koala snoozing in the trees (with 20 hours of nap time a day, the odds are pretty good)!

      • The Hell's Gates viewpoint: don't be put off by the name Hell's Gates: it's one of the most stunning viewpoints on the coast, with endless ocean stretching to the horizon.

      • Sunset or a drink? In the afternoon we slow things down with a golden sunset at Main Beach, or maybe a drink on Hastings Street, the buzzing strip of stylish boutiques and surf shops.

Fun fact: Noosa was one of the first places in the world to ban fast food chains. Here it's all about eating local and living slow.

      • A silhouetted person with a surfboard walks in the ocean as the sun sets over the water, creating a golden glow.
  4. 4Day 4Choose Your Own Adventure in NoosaOvernight: Noosa
    • From sandy islands to surfboards, or simply doing nothing at all

A “free” day, but free doesn't mean boring: in Noosa, even doing nothing is an art. Still, if sitting still isn't your thing, there are plenty of ways to turn it into a little adventure:

      • Off to K'gari? You could join a 4x4 excursion to K'gari (locals no longer call it Fraser Island), the largest sand island in the world: rainforests growing out of the dunes, crystal-clear freshwater lakes and the occasional curious dingo.

      • Up for a surf lesson? If the sea is calling, why not book a surfing lesson in Noosa? It's known worldwide for longboarding and beginner-friendly too, even if your last board was a sushi board: hold your balance for three glorious seconds and you'll feel ready for the World Surf League.

      • Calmer but still active? Paddle the serene Noosa Everglades (no alligators here!) in a kayak, paddleboard or boat rented at Noosa Habitat.

      • Just beach? And if all else fails, claim your spot at Main Beach and let your toughest decision be papaya smoothie or oat iced latte.

Tomorrow we hit the road again, with sun-kissed skin and maybe a few sore muscles.

      • A view from a high vantage point of a tropical coastline with turquoise water, a sandy beach, and green hills.
  5. 5Day 5From Noosa to RockhamptonOvernight: Rockhampton
    • Saddles & Sunshine in Rockhampton

We leave Noosa and head inland towards Rockhampton, the “cowboy capital of Australia”: more than five hours on the road, with postcard-perfect scenery rolling by.

      • Into cowboy country: statues of bulls on street corners, rodeo vibes and a historic centre full of colonial character.

      • Energy left? If so, we visit the Botanic Gardens & Zoo, where we can come face to face with a real crocodile.

      • Photo at the Tropic of Capricorn: the Tropic of Capricorn passes right through here, marked by a kitschy monument: group photo mandatory!

Rockhampton (“Rocky” to the locals) offers a taste of Queensland's wilder, more rugged soul.

      • An aerial view of a straight road extending through a vast, dry savanna towards the setting sun on the horizon.
  6. 6Day 6On the Way to MackayOvernight: Mackay
    • Between the clouds

An early start and a long drive to Mackay, but that's all part of a real road trip. Snacks ready, let's go!

      • Rainforest at Eungella: the highlight of the day is Eungella National Park, rainforest high in the mountains with spectacular views and hidden waterfalls. If we're lucky, a platypus makes an appearance in the river.

      • On to Mackay: after a few hours in nature we drive on to Mackay, a small town between sugarcane fields and the ocean, with that relaxed “real Australia” charm.

      • An aerial view of sailboats and catamarans floating in turquoise water surrounding small, forested islands under a blue sky with clouds.
  7. 7Day 7Road to Airlie BeachOvernight: Airlie Beach
    • Beaches, silence… and kangaroos at sunrise

Before reaching Airlie Beach, one of the absolute highlights of the trip awaits, if we get up really early. Worth it? Absolutely!

      • Kangaroos at sunrise: in Cape Hillsborough National Park, kangaroos come to the beach at sunrise and hop across the sand. If we get up early enough, we can witness it: just us, the sea, the morning stillness and the Australian wildlife. No entrance fee: we simply sacrifice a little sleep.

      • Arrival in Airlie Beach: in the afternoon we reach Airlie Beach, the gateway to the Whitsundays, with relaxed vibes and a lagoon.

      Tomorrow, we cast off!

      • Two kangaroos stand on a white sand beach, with a turquoise ocean and distant islands under a bright blue sky.
  8. 8Day 8Whitsundays: welcome to paradiseOvernight: Airlie Beach
    • A WOW day

Early start, swimsuit on, sunscreen everywhere: we're off to the legendary Whitsundays, one of the most breathtaking places in the Southern Hemisphere (and quite possibly the Northern too).

      • Sailing and snorkelling: we spend the day sailing through crystal-clear waters and snorkelling among vibrant coral reefs, and lazing on beaches so perfect they could have been painted.

      • On Whitehaven Beach: Whitehaven Beach is home to the whitest sand on Earth.

      • Up to Hill Inlet lookout: from the Hill Inlet lookout, swirling turquoise waters, blindingly white sandbanks and not a single filter required.

      • Back to Airlie Beach: by late afternoon we sail back, salty, sun-kissed and grinning.

Saying “wow” around 47 times today? Totally normal!

      • An aerial view of swirling white sandbars in vibrant turquoise water, with green, hilly islands in the background under a blue sky.
  9. 9Day 9Road to Mission BeachOvernight: Mission Beach
    • Winding coastal drives and sunset calm

Another day on the road, the kind we live for: sweeping ocean views, endless green landscapes and our playlist blasting.

      • Arrival in Mission Beach: by the afternoon we roll into Mission Beach, where lush rainforest spills onto golden sands. People come here for pure relaxation… or for the ultimate adrenaline rush of jumping out of a plane.

      • Sunset walk on the beach: for now, the sound of the waves and that rare, magical silence.

Fun fact: this is one of the few places in the world where you might spot a cassowary, the “tropical dinosaur”. If you do, admire it from a distance: it can outrun you!

      • An aerial, top-down view of turquoise waves washing onto a sandy beach bordered by a line of green palm trees.
  10. 10Day 10Road to CairnsOvernight: Cairns
    • Waterfalls, curves and goodbyes at the wheel

Our final day on the road, and we finish in style: from Mission Beach to Cairns through one of the most scenic regions in all of Queensland.

      • Through the Atherton Tablelands: lush, cool (finally!) and full of tropical forests and charming little villages where time seems to have stood still.

      • A dip under the waterfalls: we stop beneath cascading waterfalls, including the famous Millaa Millaa Falls, star of countless shampoo commercials.

      • Goodbye to the cars: in Cairns we bid farewell to our trusty cars, maybe with a round of applause for all the miles conquered together.

From tomorrow the road trip becomes a reef trip: no more driving, just coral wonders, cocktails and a full day of freedom.

      • An aerial view of a coastal city with modern buildings, a harbor, and green mountains in the background under a blue, partly cloudy sky.
  11. 11Day 11Free day in CairnsOvernight: Cairns
    • Reef or pool? Tropical dilemmas

No alarms. No bags. No driving. A whole day in Cairns to decide what to do, or not do at all. The choices are plentiful:

      • Out to the reef? If adventure calls, an excursion to the legendary Great Barrier Reef means snorkelling among colourful fish and coral gardens.

      • Rather stay on land? In the lush Kuranda Rainforest there's the scenic cable car above the canopy, charming markets and leafy trails.

      • Just relaxing? If that's all you want, the Cairns Lagoon is waiting: sun lounger, sunscreen, full holiday mode.

Pro tip: today's perfect for a little souvenir shopping. The classic “No kangaroos in Cairns” T-shirt is always a winning choice!

      • A coastal town overlooks a wide sandy beach as turquoise waves roll onto the shore under a partly cloudy sky.
  12. 12Day 12Flying to SydneyOvernight: Sidney
    • From the reef to the city

Goodbye, tropics! We trade the flip-flops and humidity of Cairns for the city pulse of Sydney, the final (but by no means less epic) chapter of our journey.

      • Landing in Sydney: as soon as we land, the energy of Sydney hits us: towering skyscrapers, surfers downtown, postcard skyline views and that “I could definitely stay here” feeling.

      • A first stroll: once settled, we stretch our legs, maybe even catching a first glimpse of the iconic Sydney Opera House.

      • A modern building with white, sail-shaped roofs stands illuminated next to a large arch bridge over the water at dusk.
  13. 13Day 13Falling for SydneyOvernight: Sydney
    • A free day to explore, savour and say goodbye in style

One mission today: fall completely in love with Sydney. No fixed plans, endless possibilities, and the city is ours to explore however we wish:

      • Coastal walk, photo or bridge climb? You could start with the classic, incredibly Instagrammable coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee, snap a photo in front of the Sydney Opera House or, feeling adventurous, climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

      • Is culture calling? If so, there's the Art Gallery of NSW or the historic streets of The Rocks.

      • More into relaxing? If that's your style, stake out a spot on Bondi Beach with an açai bowl and watch the surfers carve up the waves.

Pro tip: tonight we raise a glass to our adventure, perhaps with a gin and tonic on a rooftop overlooking the Opera House. Our last night together!

      • An aerial view of an iconic opera house and a city skyline at sunset, with a ferry crossing the harbor.
  14. 14Day 14Bye bye Australia!
    • Check out and goodbyes

Time to say goodbye: bye bye Sydney, see you next time in Australia! It was beautiful… See you all at the next WeRoad!
