Here's what your two days in the Bernese Oberland look like, day by day.

Day 1

Oeschinensee

Your adventure begins at Kandersteg station at 09:30. Take the Oeschinen gondola up at 10:00 (ticket purchased individually with your Halbtax, ~CHF 22) and embark on a 2-3 hour panorama hike to the stunning Oeschinensee viewpoint. Brave souls can swim in the turquoise lake. At 12:30 you'll have a self-service lunch at Berghotel Oeschinensee on the terrace (table reserved, meal not included). At 14:00 the group splits across 4 wooden rowing boats for an hour on the lake. An optional alpine coaster offers a thrilling descent back to the valley. Check in at the Belle Epoque Hotel Victoria in Kandersteg village around 17:00, then group dinner at Alpenblick Kandersteg at 19:30 (not included).

Day 2

Blausee

Start your Sunday with breakfast at the hotel from 08:00. At 09:00 a short shuttle bus (10 min) takes you to the enchanting Blausee nature park. Enjoy a glass-bottomed boat ride on the bright-blue spring-fed lake, followed by a leisurely forest walk around the reserve including a stop at the trout smokehouse. At 12:30 lunch is served at the historic Blausee restaurant (Menu 4 included). You'll then take the train home via Bern by mid-afternoon, filled with memories of your Swiss escape.
