7 Days of Surf, Skate & Island Adventures

This itinerary is designed to balance surf progression, volcanic hikes and curated local experiences. We move around Lanzarote with rental cars, spend our days between waves, lava fields and small villages, and keep the evenings for shared dinners, slow sunsets and the kind of places locals actually go to. Each day builds on the previous one, so you can relax into the island rhythm while still feeling that you’re living something special.

Day 1

Arrival, surf-skate & welcome dinner

After landing in Lanzarote we pick up the rental cars and drive to our surf house. In the afternoon we warm up with an optional surf-skate session to start building confidence with surf movements on land. In the evening we have a convivial dinner at Teleclub de Famara to get to know each other and go through the plan for the week.

Day 2

Surf, Lagomar & wine experience

In the morning we have the first of 4 surf lessons included in the trip. After lunch we visit Lagomar Museum, a spectacular house-museum carved into volcanic rock that blends art and nature. We then continue with a wine experience among Lanzarote's so-called "impossible vineyards" with a tasting in the island's oldest winery, and end the day with dinner in the village of La Santa.

Day 3

Surf, Cueva de los Verdes & Jardín de Cactus

Another morning surf session on the famous Famara beach. After lunch we visit Cueva de los Verdes, a lava tube formed around 4,000 years ago by the eruptions of Volcán de la Corona, followed by Jardín de Cactus, a unique cactus garden where architecture and landscape blend together. We close the day with dinner in the historic town of Teguise.

Day 4

La Graciosa by bike

Full day dedicated to exploring the island of La Graciosa by bicycle. We take the return ferry and then rent bikes to discover this small, almost untouched island in a unique, slow way. In the evening we return to Famara for dinner.

Day 5

Surf, Jameos del Agua & Caletón Blanco

After a rest day from surfing, we jump back into the water for another surf lesson. Later we visit Jameos del Agua, the iconic volcanic space designed by César Manrique with its underground lake, auditorium and gardens. We then relax on the white sands and crystal-clear waters of Caletón Blanco and, if conditions allow, enjoy sunset from Mirador del Río. Dinner is free tonight.

Day 6

Last surf lesson & free afternoon

In the morning we have our last group surf lesson of the trip. After lunch the afternoon is free with optional activities such as extra surf, surf-skate or yoga, depending on your energy levels. In the evening we head to Costa Teguise for dinner.

Day 7

Timanfaya trek & south coast

In the morning we trek with a guide inside Timanfaya National Park, a surreal volcanic landscape declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, walking among craters and solidified lava flows. After lunch we stop for photos at Las Salinas de Janubio and end the day relaxing and watching the sunset at Playa Papagayo before a final dinner back in Famara.

Day 8

Departure

Check-out from the surf house and drive back to the airport according to flight times. Depending on departures, there may be time for a last walk on the beach or a coffee in the village before we say goodbye to Lanzarote.
